肯宝Kemble钢琴     
在19世纪90年代，曾有这样的观点，就是在一个英国家庭里家具装潢中，钢琴是不可或缺的。罗伯特肯伯(RobenKel"nble)便在此时从德国进口钢琴， 肯宝Kemble钢琴于1920年之前，成功地开始了他的进口生意．到了1920年．公司已开始在伦敦斯托克纽因顿(Stoke 
Newington)的一个车间生产自己的钢琴．直到第一次世界大战以前、这里都是伦敦的钢琴区。据说罗伯特肯伯雇用工人时．从用钢琴毛毡做窗帘的前窗向外张望。他每看到一个人就会问是否在战前从事过钢琴交易。如果谁回答是，那么他就得到了这份工作。肯伯与妻子 
的堂兄维克多雅各布(Victor Jacobs)合作.尽管有1920～1930年代恶劣的经济气候他还是发迹起来。1935年，肯宝Kemble钢琴的三种新式钢琴问世：禧年(Jubilee，为纪念那一年的国王乔治五世登基禧年)，朱比斯特(cubist)和明克斯(Minx)。这些钢琴特别是小型的明克 
斯，简直供不应求。     1939年，由于战争，肯伯转而生产轰炸机的门，但战后便恢复生产钢琴。1967年肯宝Kemble钢琴买下了克莱默(cramer)和布林斯梅德(Brinsnlead)的署名权、第一二年从伦敦搬到了米尔敦凯恩斯的布莱奇利(Bletchley)  仍旧生产立式钢琴。在 
这前一年，肯伯有限公司便向雅马哈集团提供电子部件。这项由分销开始的生意最后以买进结束  1971年．雅马哈成为了肯伯有限公司的小股东。     
在20世纪80年代早期，肯伯差一点倒闭，但在最后一分钟，赢得了一大单在英国钢琴订单合同，为伊巴赫制造迪特曼(Dietman)系列的钢琴。1984年肯伯再次陷入困境，又是雅马哈投入巨资．但这回它占得主控。1986年．肯宝Kemble钢琴为雅马哈在欧洲市场生产钢琴．并 
且公司日益壮大.肯伯钢琴富有欧洲风味．音质丰富醇厚。音板采用了巴伐利亚原始森林的云杉为保持不同气候条件下的稳定性键盘也使用了云杉。在kemble131中，琴壳由欧洲著名的康然(conran&parner)设计公司设计。70％以上的职工都在公司工作了15年以上使待公司 
的丰富经验代代相传．成为宝贵财富。1930年肯宝Kemble钢琴生产了一种叫做明克斯的小型立式钢琴。它只有3英尺高(90厘米)连动装置在键盘下将琴键抬起而非推起。另有个调谐器，用来降低琴弦的音量。
